WHAT IS REIKI?

Reiki (commonly pronounced ray-key) is an ancient healing system in which the practitioner places their hands on and/or above the client’s body assisting that person’s natural process of healing by channeling a gentle high-frequency ‘energy’ (the invisible’ish sacred aspect of life that keeps us alive) to the areas that need it.

Reiki isn’t limited to the physical aspect of our beings, though, which is fortunate for us since we have mental, emotional and spiritual bodies as well.  Our life force flows and swirls inside all of what makes us up and through the fields that surround us (our auric/subtle bodies).  When any of these bodies has a disturbance or a blockage (thoughts or experiences that translate into stress and any other variety of dis-ease) it affects all the other bodies as well, resulting in an ‘un-well’ feeling.  Reiki can address it.  There is no limit.

One of the coolest things (at least I think so) about Reiki is its undiluted ability to dance with the living. What I mean is, the vibrational rate of this Cosmic Energy has the capacity to remind our cells of their natural unclogged state … complete health, relaxation and ‘at-one-ness’ … on all levels. Reiki is like rain falling into the open cup of a thirsty person. It is un-prejudicial, completely loving, and always ready to give.  It is entirely groovy that way!

I have personally experienced relief from a variety of low-vibrational irritations and have witnessed similar healings for other living beings as well.  However, there are times when ‘a healing’ doesn’t look like a miracle, but it does – always – create a more balanced flow in whatever area had been lacking.  Sometimes the soil must be prepared before the seed is planted in order to get the strongest and healthiest apple.

What I really love about Reiki, though, is watching people transform spiritually through the power and grace of this healing life force energy.  There are no words to describe the thrill of seeing someone ‘wake-up’.  The switch has been flipped and the light is bright!
